the divine spark (1935)

biography of the youth of vincenzo bellini, of his years at the conservatory of naples and of his tormented love for maddalena fumaroli, of the romance dedicated to her, of his first successes, of his relationship with the soprano giuditta pasta and the failure of his work more famous: the 'norma'. but, when the work is presented, years later, thanks to the intervention of maddalena who brings bellini the song dedicated to her and included in the 'norma', the miracle of great success takes place. but magdalene, physically undermined and suffering, dies shortly after.
